in Kerala
since 1995.

Our group has been in LPG bottling since 1995. M K Gastech Private Limited, incorporated in 2005, runs two units in Palakkad district, both built to OISD-STD-169A, holding 215 MT of LPG storage between them.

01 — The line

How a cylinder moves through the plant

Ten stages, in this order. Three of them can send a cylinder back into the line instead of forward, and those return paths are marked below.

  1. 01

    Unloading

Empty cylinders come off the incoming trucks and onto the line.

  2. 02

    Washing and drying

Every cylinder is washed and dried before it goes any further.

  3. 03

    Purging

Cylinders are purged where it is needed, to clear what is left inside before filling.

  4. 04

    Carousel filling

Cylinders are filled on the carousel filling system.

  5. 05

    Check scale

Each filled cylinder is weighed on the check scale.

Off weight → correction unit → corrected → weighed again

  6. 06

    Valve leak detection

The cylinder passes through the valve leak detection system.

Rejected → valve changed on the valve-changing machine, without evacuating the cylinder → weight check → back into the line

  7. 07

    O-ring leak detection

Cylinders that clear the valve check then pass through the O-ring leak detection system.

Leak found → O-ring changed → back into the line

  8. 08

    Test bath

Cylinders go through the test bath, where the body and the remaining joints are checked for leaks.

  9. 09

    Sealing

Cylinders that have cleared every check go to the sealing machine.

  10. 10

    Loading

Sealed cylinders are loaded onto the trucks for delivery.
